Accessible Space, Inc. | Housing with Care

Giving

Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness.  It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose.     -Helen Keller

Estate and Planned Giving

We hope you will consider including a gift to Accessible Space, Inc. in your will or living trust. Called a charitable bequest, this type of gift offers four benefits:

  1. Improving lives. We offer wheel-chair accessible housing with care to very low income adults with qualifying disabilities and brain injuries, as well as very low-income seniors 62 and better.
  2. Simplicity. Just a few sentences in your will or trust are all that is needed. Although bequest language should be discussed with your tax and estate advisor, sample bequest language for Accessible Space, Inc. is: “I devise and bequeath [written dollar amount] or [written percent amount of estate] to Accessible Space, Inc., EIN 41-1330242, to be used [for general purposes] or [for the general endowment]."
  3. Flexibility. Because you are not making a gift until after your lifetime, you can change your mind at any time.
  4. Versatility. You can structure your bequest to leave a certain amount of money or a specific item, or make your gift contingent on certain events, such as the death of you and your spouse, or leave a certain percentage of your estate to us.

Generous people who notify us of their bequest intentions are invited to join the Michael Pesch Planned Giving Society. Contact Judy Hawkinson, Senior Fund Development Officer, at
651-645-7271, ext 281 for more information.
