Independence Means Everything Jared Murray has drive. Before his spinal cord injury, he planned to be a commercial pilot. Now he continues to pursue the fullest degree of independence possible. He received his license to drive a conversion van. He is employed and to arrive at work on time, he takes advantage of ASI’s flexible, 24-hour service model. When you have a job, you can’t wait around for the staff’s schedule to free up.

In his leisure time, Jared enjoys culinary experimentation (barbequed chicken, anyone? Cajun steak with bleu cheese?), collecting and watching good films and wowing visitors with the enormous aquarium in his home. ASI provides an apartment to call home and the security of supportive living services that make greater independence possible.  Read all stories »
