ASI Services make a Difference Janice Groteboer was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when she was 19 but that didn’t stop her from building a 12-year career as a surgical nurse. As her disease progressed, however, she began to need scheduled personal care assistance in her own home. Eventually she required more services and moved to an Assisted Living location in a small town near Rochester, Minnesota. Her next transition came in August 2007 when she moved to an apartment at ASI’s Bostrom Terrace.

Janice appreciates her apartment because it was designed for wheelchair accessibility. Meals are not planned and scheduled. Instead, residents can plan their own meals and mealtimes in their own apartment with staff help available as needed. Janice enjoys the other Bostrom residents, and says that her move to an ASI apartment building brought her more independence, choices and freedom.  Read all stories »
