VISIONS PARK APARTMENTS
The Blind Center of Nevada, in collaboration with the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNRHA) is accepting applications for Project-Based Rental Assistance for Visions Park Apartments, an affordable, accessible apartment community for extremely-low and very-low-income households. This program provides rental subsidy which is tied directly to the Section 8 Project Based units located at the above referenced, affordable housing community, and will offer one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments to qualifying households. Applications will be accepted starting at 8:00AM PST on Thursday June 4, 2026.
Visions Park Apartments provides a preference for households where at least one member of the household is legally blind with a visual impairment as defined below. The preference described will impact an applicant’s placement on the waiting list:
Preference for applicants who benefit from vision-impairment related supportive services provided by the Owner, which the project defines as: Persons qualifying for services for the legally blind as defined by the Social Security Administration, the Internal Revenue Service, and any other program or agency looking for legal/statutory blindness, which can generically be described as:
(1) central acuity of 20/200 or less in the better eye with the use of a correcting lens, and/or;
(2) having a visual field limitation such that the widest diameter of the visual field subtends an angle no greater than 20 degrees as having a central visual acuity of 20/200 or less.
The applicant will provide a medical eye report from a doctor’s office as part of the application process indicating the applicant meets the legal definition of blindness for supportive services. All housing applicants will be screened for income qualification, credit history, rental history and criminal history. Selection of and/or eligibility for available, on-site supportive services is not required as a condition for housing eligibility, housing admission/occupancy, or rental assistance. |
Visions Park Apartments Community Features:
- 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments
- All apartments are fully furnished for all incoming residents, including laundry equipment
- 51 apartments with project-based Section 8 rental assistance
- 48 affordable, non-rental assisted apartments
- One, on-site manager’s apartment
- Tenant-based, Housing Choice Vouchers accepted for non-rental assisted apartments
- Wheelchair accessible units are available
- On-site, optional supportive services provided by the Blind Center of Nevada
- 100% Smoke-Free Housing community
- No pets allowed. Service animals, companion animals and emotional support animals are welcome with execution of a Service Animal Agreement.
- Rent includes: heat, water, sewer, air conditioning, electricity, and trash removal. All utilities within the apartment community are included in rent, and provided by the Owner. Residents are responsible for payment of optional telephone, cable television, and internet/Wi-Fi services from available providers.
