CARF Accreditation

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Paratransit Services is a shared ride, door-to-door public transportation service. RTC/ADA Paratransit Services is provided for individuals with disabilities, as required by federal law, who are functionally prevented from independently using the RTC fixed route transit system. RTC/ADA Paratransit Services is available to persons who experience physical, cognitive, psychological or visual impairments that prevent their independent access to the RTC fixed route transit system. Individuals who request eligibility for Paratransit services are required to participate in the RTC’s Functional Ability Assessment Process.

The Nevada Community Enrichment Program (NCEP) is the contract provider for the RTC’s Functional Ability Assessment Process. NCEP has been conducting in-person functional assessments for the RTC since September 2004. The NCEP Functional Ability Assessment protocol is designed to ensure reliable and valid evaluations conducted by licensed health care professionals.

Upon request, complimentary transportation is provided to and from the Evaluation Center.
